A Service of Witness to the Resurrection in Celebration of Clint's life will be at 11:00am on Saturday, September 18th at the First Presbyterian Church, 17 Park Street, Canton NY. Dear Members and Friends of Newark Presbytery,
It is with sadness and the deepest sense of sorrow and loss that I share with you that our friend and colleague, the Rev. Clint McCoy, died yesterday, Sunday, September 12, 2010, due to a rare congenital heart defect. Clint served as the Co-Executive for Partnerships for the Synod of the Northeast since 2006. No further information is available at this time.
Clint has been a good friend and colleague to me for many years and served the Synod and blessed Newark Presbytery in countless ways. He was committed to a transforming Presbyterian Church as we courageously follow where the Spirit leads us. I was with Clint on Saturday at the New Jersey Presbytery Partnership Group meeting where he looked great and contributed the same great energy and guidance we always counted on Clint expressing.
In the sure and certain hope of the resurrection, please keep his wife, Barb, and their entire family in your prayers as they grieve this unforeseen and devastating loss.
I have spoken personally with the McCoy family and Elder Mary Lynn Flowers, co-executive for Administration in the Synod office, extending the love and support and prayers of the entire Newark Presbytery.
