Dear friends,
I was saddened to learn of the passing of Ruling Elder Elaine B. Henry, longtime member of Elmwood United Presbyterian Church, East Orange. She was the mother of Karen H. Jackson, Elmwood's Clerk of Session, whose husband, Lawrence, moderates our presbytery's Finance Team. Ms. Henry was a key leader at Elmwood and served as Clerk of Session. A follower of Jesus Christ, she was a friend and visionary leader who was a blessing to all who knew her. Please join me in offering thanks to God for Christ's servant, Elaine. Please keep the Henry's, Jackson's and the entire Elmwood family, and all who grieve her loss, in your prayers. Elmwood United, East Orange, will host the viewing on Friday, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and funeral on Saturday, 10:00 am.

May God who is present in every place continue to give hope and comfort to those who mourn.
