Part Time Youth Leader Position
Start Date: November, 2011
Job Qualifications:
• A strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ
• An obvious heart for youth and an ability to communicate Gods’ love to them.
• Experience working with youth in a Christian context.
• Familiarity and agreement with the Reformed heritage of the PCUSA and with
Grace Presbyterian Church’s evangelical thrust.
• Strong administrative skills.
• One year volunteer youth experience required
Summary of the Role of the Youth Leader:
• The Youth Leader is directly responsible for developing, organizing and facilitating various
Christ-centered youth programs throughout the week.
• The Leader’s primary focus will be on grades 7 – 12.
• The Leader is expected to plan, program, implement and participate in the youth program which
includes: Sunday: 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; assist/teach Sunday School for grades 7 to 12; Sunday Youth Fellowship night: 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Other duties: administrative tasks, volunteer recruiting, youth committee meetings, Sr. High winter camp weekend, summer 5 to 7 day mission trip as well as occasional activities such as bowling, progressive dinner, Christmas party etc.
• The Youth Leader will report directly to the Associate Pastor, Youth Committee and Personnel.
Terms:
• 19 hours a week.
• Fulfill the Roles of Youth Ministry Leader as stated above.
