The Future For 15 Minutes- NP Self-Study Survey Invitation

(If you're ready to take the Portal Survey, just click here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/newarkpresbytery , or read further for more details.)

Note: This online Portal Survey is different and distinct from the session interview or questionnaire you may have participated in as part of a team. This is your individual leader survey, and your opinion matters to us.

You are a leader in the presbytery. Thank you. A “leader” captures many roles, but if you are one or more of the following, please invest in Newark Presbytery’s future for 15 Minutes: Session member, Elder, or Deacon. those serving on a Board, Committee, or other unit of the Presbytery, Pastor in one of the following categories: installed Pastor, stated supply, commissioned lay pastor, temporary supply, Other ordained clergy in one of the following categories: member at large, ministry approved by presbytery (chaplains, laboring out of bounds and ministers serving other denominations) and honorably retired.

A Survey, Really?
In 2006, the presbytery directed the Mission Council to lead a self-study after a few years. The Self-Study Team was formed this year to conduct interviews, solicit comments, and (now) invite completion of this online survey called the Portal. We hope to help the presbytery gain clarity about its mission and its future. This online instrument is a part of the self-study process. It is important to get a good return rate on our Portal for the following reasons:
A good return rate increases your confidence in the validity of your data as representative of the entire Presbytery.
A good return rate indicates an increased level of participation of members in the process and ownership of the final result.
A good return rate is a positive selling point to those interested in serving your Presbytery, including candidates for leadership and staff positions.

Therefore, getting a good return rate is an investment in the future of the Presbytery. It may take some effort, but it will pay dividends in the end. We thank you for your spiritual leadership and hope that completing the Portal is as satisfying as it will be useful to our future together.
