Event on August 29, 2011

Once again we face severe weather but, this time, the storm will be very close to home.
Hurricane Irene is a very dangerous storm. I pray that all will take precautions for this storm.

Our Presbytery ask that members contact the General Presbyter, Moderator and Stated Clerk in case of emergency. The Moderator, Jim Hill can be reached by cell phone,
201-394-7751 during this emergency. There is a Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Team available to the presbytery if needed.

After Hurricane Irene departs the area, The Presbytery will be available to assist congregations in way that is needed. Please call if there is a need by your congregation.

Our God is a Loving God, who gives rain and sunshine, summer and winter, cold and heat in
due season. My prayer for all is that during this time of unfavorable weather God will uphold
us and provide for our needs. We often forget to thank God for his goodness and mercies.

May God grant his mercy to us during this storm. May God bless the Presbytery of Newark.

In His Service,
Jim
