The 219th General Assembly opened at 1:30 pm local time in Minneapolis today. Newark Presbytery's commissioners, youth advisory delegate, and staff all arrived safely. After worship with lively singing and a stirring message on the Living Waters, the assembly was urged to be a blessing to the world. The business meeting began with welcoming comments from the GA218 Moderator and the GA219 host presbyteries.
