Hello friend, I received a call a few moments ago that the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance response team will be on the ground, available to our area by tomorrow, Saturday. The hurricane Irene track looks like it will be arriving by late tomorrow to early Sunday morning. Remember to have a congregation alert in place as the current forecast would necessitate cancelling worship services and other programs Saturday and Sunday.

The Rev. Dr. Dick McClain from PDA Allentown district called me this morning. If you need assistance or have questions to help assess the level of assistance you may need, please call Rev. McClain and he will put you in touch with his team here in Essex County. Here is contact information to use:
610-391-1684 landline (use Friday through Saturday)
610-216-1876 mobile (use any time)

If you require assistance, please notify us at Presbytery Center so that we can respond with resources and distribute information via this website as required. (Remember you can use your RSS reader app on your mobile device or computer to automatically receive our blog posts. Just click the orange RSS button when viewing a blog to subscribe.)

Be safe and alert. Blessings to you, your family, congregation, and neighbors during this storm, and it's aftermath.
Sincerely,
Kevin
