Hello,
All across our presbytery many congregations have been offering celebrations for Black History Month. Now you can add sound to those on-site experiences.
If you are in your car like me, to and from work or meetings, here are some listening tips for Black History Month. iTunes is providing free, great speeches from great leaders to listen on your computer or on your iPod, iPhone, or other MP3 player.
From Booker T. Washington’s speech at the Atlanta Cotton States Expo in 1895 to Barack Obama’s inaugural address earlier this year, American Public Media presents more than a dozen of the great speeches given by African American speakers during the last century. You may also enjoy the material from the Civil Rights room, the Harlem Digital Archive, and Smithsonian Global Sound, as well.
Here is the link to iTunes where you can begin to listen to history in the making... Open iTunes on your computer.
Be inspired. I am.
Kevin
