On behalf of Elder Celia King (Prospect), (PTC moderator), pastors and elders (up to four from each church) are invited to participate in our Saturday, March 7, Presbyterian Transformation Commission meeting to be held at Memorial West Presbyterian Church, located at 286 So. 7th Street, Newark, NJ, for pastors and congregation representatives. The key focus is on ministry initiatives in Newark, NJ.

You will see from the agenda (available in this post), our primary goal is to engage you and your congregation in shaping the strategic direction and core mission initiatives for the Presbytery’s newly formed non-profit organization, now named the Newark Presbytery Community Transformation Corporation.

Its a great opportunity to bring 4-6 members of your congregation with you as well. Invite Session members, representatives from your youth and young adult ministry, and individuals who are responsible for your community outreach ministries. It is critical that we hear from individuals who are on the front lines of your evangelism, advocacy and transformation efforts as we work to build a non-profit organization that is truly responsive to the needs of our congregations and communities.

With respect to logistics, I am delighted to announce that Memorial West Presbyterian Church, located at 286 So. 7th Street, Newark, NJ, will serve as the meeting location. The meeting will start on March 7 at 9:00 am and conclude by 1:00 pm. A light breakfast and other refreshments will be served throughout the morning.
