God so loves the world... CALL TO PRAYER For Egypt
Newark Presbytery joins with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in expressing grave concern and hope for peace for the people of Egypt. This is an urgent CALL TO PRAYER for Egypt. We are all aware of the unrest and turmoil in the other Middle Eastern Countries. Because Egypt is a leading nation in the region, these historic days will likely determine the future of the only Arab nation (with a strong Christian witness), that provided Arabic-speaking ministers and missionaries, to numerous Arab countries.

Let's join in prayer with the people of Egypt. As part of the body of Christ, we especially wait on the Holy Spirit with believers there. We ask God for protection of the entire nation against violence and human loss. Pray fervently that God’s love and presence will be evident and experienced in a mighty way, and that the Lord will direct those in power toward lasting peace.
