Event on September 26, 2011

Newark Presbytery is committed to resourcing our ministers for healthy and effective pastoral leadership. This year, we are providing a special learning opportunity for all ministers to develop practices for setting healthy professional boundaries.
An Invitation and separate Registration Form is attached.

All members of Newark Presbytery, teaching elders and commissioned ruling elders, and Honorably Retired ministers, are urged to participate in training to prevent abuse and sexual misconduct. The Building and Maintaining Boundaries in Ministry Workshop is sponsored by the Committee on Ministry and is designed to provide this training, which is mandated in our standing rules and by our insurance carrier. Members of the presbytery are required to attend this training at least once, every three years.

We have scheduled three identical Workshops on three different days from which to choose from. Choose the one that fits your schedule best. The venues for these Workshops will be announced in mid-September. The Workshops begin at 9:00 am and conclude at 3:30 pm.

Building and Maintaining Boundaries in Ministry: A Workshop for Ministers
will be offered on three days:

Thank you for making time in your schedule to participate in the Workshop. Register soon as possible. We will do all we can to provide the information, resources, and context for a positive and helpful learning experience as colleagues in Newark Presbytery. Thank you for your ministry.

Sincerely,
The Rev. Ronald Johnson, COM moderator
