Locally, a steering committee has been meeting in New York City to consider implementation strategies in the Synod of the Northeast related to the African American Church Growth Strategy adopted by the 218th General Assembly (2008). Several pastors from Newark Presbytery, our Stated Clerk, and myself, have been invited to participate. The next meeting of the African American Church Growth Strategy committee will be February 8, 2010 in New York City. Stay tuned for information to be posted and conversations you can participate in.
