Herencia Lectures: Navigating Immigration Tensions

Annual Herencia Lectures at Princeton Theological Seminary. This year the joint offices of The Latin@ Collegium (Office of Multicultural Relations, Hispanic Leadership Program, Hispanic Theological Initiative, ALHAS, together with alumns and community leaders) will be focusing on Immigration and the Church.


Date: October 15, 2009


Location: Princeton Theological Seminary, Mackay Main Lounge. Instructions and information will be mailed to registered and wait-listed participants.


Time: Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. All day event with worship included.


Goals:



  • To educate, inform, and learn from the Church about immigrant realities in a comprehensive way.

  • To provide space for theological reflection on immigration.

  • To lift up ministry and community service models which are serving immigrant communities.

  • To provide access to legal advise so that are congregations are better informed to serve immigrant communities.


Audience: This event is open to pastors, laity, attorney, immigration advocates, and a general audience.
