The Newark Presbytery Community Transformation (CTC for short) is the official, name of the new 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, recently filed with the State of New Jersey.
The Presbyterian Transformation Commission (PTC) was authorized as a Mission Council work team at the November 2008 presbytery meeting to create the CTC 501(c)(3) organization for the whole presbytery with a mission to deliver programs and services – such as job training and placement, fiscal literacy and home ownership counseling, youth services, and fatherhood programs – that are relevant to the congregations and communities served by Newark Presbytery.
The full board of directors of the CTC will likely be presented by the presbytery's Nominating Committee to the presbytery at its June 2009 stated meeting for election.
